The starting shot for wide and at the same time light rims from Syntace was set with the aluminum rims of the W series. A patent pending reinforcement of the rim flange makes the C33i rim insensitive to punctures and guarantees a long service life. The large inner width of 33 millimeters also offers 2.5 “wide tires very good grip at low air pressures. The enlarged nipple seat diameter (spoke hole 5.1 mm) enables the nipples to be embedded at the correct angle and prevents the spokes from buckling when the number of spokes is small and the spoke length is short.
