The Race Face AR rims offer an inexpensive alternative to the ARC high-end aluminum rims. In contrast to the ARC rims, they add a little extra weight thanks to a different aluminum alloy, but with the identical rim profile they have the same design-related advantages on the trail. Due to the offset of the spoke holes, extremely stiff and more durable wheels can be built with the AR rims. This is achieved through a more balanced spoke tension between the drive side and the non-drive side. The AR offset rims are available with an inner width of 25 to 40 millimeters, which means they cover a intended use of intended use from XC to aggressive all-mountain.
A specially shaped rim well with a central recess and minimalist, short hooks on the rim flange keep the tire on the rim in every situation, even with low air pressures.
