With the Pro 4, Hope heralds the latest evolution of their hub. The hub, which is already known for its good workmanship and resilience, has been further improved in terms of rigidity and durability.
It has a larger flange diameter than its predecessor and thus enables even stiffer wheels. The freewheel toothing now has 44 teeth and thus 10% more locking points than the previous model. There is a free travel of just 8.2° when accelerating.
The freewheel body has also been completely redesigned and now has two instead of three bearings. In order to ensure durability, these are larger in size.
Familiar features such as the various anodized colors, the sealed stainless steel bearings and the interchangeable freewheels have been retained. The weight stayed the same.
The Boost version has a wider hub body than the 135/142 mm version. The flanges are each moved outwards by 3 mm, which optimizes the angle from spoke to rim and thus enables significantly stiffer wheels, which results in a significant increase in performance, especially with 29″ wheels.
