The BERG Ratheberg rims are in the top league of lightweight rims for XC racing. 270g with an above-average inner width of 30mm is definitely a world record. In practice, this results in an extremely easy-to-accelerate wheel. In addition, the rim allows tires with a width of up to 2.7″ to be used, which can be perfectly supported in the hookless profile. The low weight could be achieved, among other things, by the relatively low height of only 21 mm. For the necessary rigidity A reinforced rim bottom and an asymmetrical cross-section in the impeller ensure that the spoke tensions on both sides can be adjusted.All these measures enable BERG to release the Ratheberg 270 for drivers weighing up to 90 kg.
In order to guarantee the safety of their components, all BERG components have undergone extensive tests according to ISO standards in Germany, in addition to intensive off-road driving. These are also regularly repeated for different product batches during the manufacturing process.
