The Antares was developed according to the Spine Concept developed by Fizik for the Chameleon driver type with average upper body mobility. The braided saddle frame made of braided carbon fibers with a core of linear carbon fibers has a significantly higher stability than conventional carbon frames can offer. A saddle shell made of a fiberglass-nylon composite ensures a very high level of flexibility.

Fizik Spine Concept
The Fizik Spine Concept helps you to find the right saddle. It divides the riders according to the flexibility of the spine, which results in different demands on the saddle in order to be able to sit on the bike ergonomically and over long distances without any problems. Fizik has developed the made for Snake models for the very agile driver, which are comparatively long and flat. With very flexible drivers, the main load is always on the sit bones and they therefore need little padding. The less flexible rider tends to tip the pelvis forward, especially when assuming a streamlined position on the bike. The made for Bull models are suitable for this type of driver, as they offer better support for the pelvis and have more padding with their backwards increasing shape. The made for Chameleon models fill the gap between these two models with a slightly flatter line than the Bull models and slightly more padding than the Snake models.

Wing flex
The WingFlex sides flex in the critical area where the thighs make contact with the saddle to allow for a more efficient pedaling motion with less resistance. This system allows you to find the most comfortable seating position.

Integrated clip system
The ICS system is a saddle-integrated option for attaching ICS-compatible saddlebags or taillights securely and without tools in no time at all. The underside of the saddle shell does not affect the look of the saddle and only brings a negligible additional weight with it.
